This month's report is almost three weeks late, but I had my reasons: it was very busy recently, mostly js13kGames, MozFest, and WebBR.
I was lucky enough to be asked by Loup Design handling the Grant for the Web fund for Coil to showcase Web Monetized games at the Mozilla Festival's arcade booth - we were showing both Enclave Games creations and js13kGames entries from the Web Monetization category, and tossed in a WebXR game as it's always fun to play VR games at such events.
It looks like the W3C workshop about Web games in Seattle was crucial for the future of Enclave Games - we're going to invest our time and efforts into exploring Web Monetization opportunities with Coil.
This month's report is mostly about updating Enclave Phaser Template and the trip to London to give a WebXR talk at the FullStack conference.
I've travelled to London last week to give a talk about WebXR at the FullStack 2019 conference that happened July 10th-12th in the Business Design Centre.
The year 2016 is already over, so let's see how it went. Was it bad? Better than 2015? Good? See for yourself.
It was the first Mozilla Work Week happening outside of the USA, and it was in Europe - London, England to be exact. Interestingly enough it took place a week before BREXIT.
I spent November writing gamedev articles for MDN, demoing WebVR in London and realizing I finished a game some time ago already.
It was my second visit to MozFest - the first time was two years ago at MozFest 2013 and I was amazed by the specific festival atmosphere. That's why I decided to go this year too, but this time with a different session.
I was invited to the ZTG conference a year ago, but Mozilla Festival event was already booked for the same date, so I said I'll try to visit them next year. I wasn't sure whether I'll be going to MozFest again this year, but I ended up traveling to Poznań instead of London.
