My GitHub Star status was renewed for the sixth year making it quite the journey already since the beginning all the way back in 2021.
Last week, on March 4th, the 15th anniversary edition of the meet.js Summit was happening in Warsaw - I was attending the conference and representing the Gamedev.js community.
In 2025, the same year I achieved so much around Neuroshima Hex, I also dived deep into Warhammer and went through a few different settings in the span of twelve months: from Age of Sigmar, Warhammer 40 000, to The Old World, Kill Team, and even Necromunda.
The fifteenth edition of js13kGames ended up with a record breaking number of submitted entries, 317, given many folks sent multiple games, but it was also a time of great discussion on how we can prevent AI slop from entering the competition.
In August the fifteenth yearly edition of the js13kGames competition started: we've announced the theme as usual on August 13th, and opened the submit form a week later. The sixth edition of the Gamedev.js Survey opened as well.
During July we were busy with the js13kGames preparations, so everything revolved around acquiring, adding, and announcing partners, experts, and prizes. In the meantime we've also managed to find the time to go on vacations though.
