GitHub Universe Recap Warsaw

The series of local meetups happening all around the world bringing talks that deliver what GitHub Universe 2025 was all about arrived in Warsaw last week.

I was attening GitHub Universe 2025 in San Francisco thanks to being a GitHub Star, but when I learned there will be a recap meetup happening here in Warsaw I decided to join immediately.

It was suppose to be hosted in the Microsoft office, but given the interest was high, to accomodate all the folks the meetup was moved to Norblin Factory event space.

Talks revolved around the announcements from Universe: GitHub Copilot, its product strategy, lessons learned from teams at Asana and Miro using it, some deep dive later on, and wrapped with advanced security at the end.

It was a good mixture talking about the current state and the future of AI in software development.

I met Piotr, Kamil, and Zbyszek once again (after bumping into them at Wawtech 2025 in December), and we took another selfie for posterity.

The food was good, and there was also an opportunity to play Flappy Mona and try to break the record, which was surprisingly quite difficult to do.

Overall I enjoyed my time at the event, had some good conversations, and I’m eager to jump into some web game development with Copilot soon.
