Another bi-monthly online meetup of the W3C Games Community Group happened a few days ago, on April 15th, and this time two main presentation topics revolved around Unity and WebCodecs.
Last week I had a great opportunity to meet with many folks from various companies at the W3C workshop on Web games which was held in Microsoft's office in Redmond to discuss the future of Web game development.
Two weeks from now, 27-28 June 2019 at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, W3C will host a workshop about Web games. I'm lucky enough to be able to attend thanks to being part of the Mozilla Tech Speakers initiative.
I was invited to be a mentor at the Edukaton, a hackathon that was aiming to teach how not to get scammed - it was held on February 16th-18th in Warsaw.
Website of the onGameStart US conference is online and it's awesome. Yet again you can play your way through all the information, for example meet the speakers in the game. Remember to visit the site using WebGL-enabled browser to enjoy the full potential of the technology.
The conference is over and I'm missing it already - it was a blast, continuous party with amazing people! I even forgot about some of the talks, because I was partying and talking with so many amazing people, both speakers and attendees. Everybody that I saw speaking or writing about the event was expressing positive impressions. Can't wait for 2013!
