I prefer to not come back to Wizard Quest as I literally hate that game, but when it was stolen and then sold cheap I had to do something about it.
More js13kGames. No, seriously. The tension was slowly growing in May, preparations were intense in June, then July was crazy busy, August at least had a few articles published, and in September the compo hit the roof with the number of submitted entries.
Monthly report for January is here, although way later than it should be - check out what happened during that month.
In my Gamasutra article I hate Wizard Quest I've mentioned I'll bury the source code of this game someplace deep and forget about it for at least an eternity, but the feedback was so positive I decided to update it a bit after the release. Plus there was some security issues I had to take care of.
We have 127 success stories this year - that's the number of entries submitted in 2016. Finishing a game is not an easy task, even more with given constraints of size and time, that's why I appreciate every single one submitted for the js13kGames competition.
It's the fifth edition of the yearly, month-long online competition for HTML5 game developers, and I hope it will keep the tradition of being bigger and better than the previous ones.
