Second public Call for Proposals for the Grant for the Web program is now open! The first one was announced more than a year ago, in May 2020, and the program evolved since then bringing many interesting Web Monetization experiments to life.

There are four different categories this time:

• Business Plans for Web Monetized Content
• Web Monetization API & Interledger Prototypes
• Research with and for the Web Monetization Ecosystem
• Advocacy and Public Education

The three tiers (award amounts) are the same as before: Spark ($5k-$15k), Mid ($15k-$50k), and Flagship ($50k-$100k). All the basic info can be found on the Apply page, and for more - make sure to check the announcement, the team’s lessons learned, category breakdown, and questions thread.

There were a few gamedev related projects from the previous CFP, and I do hope there will be more in the current batch - if you want to submit, don’t hesitate! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the program itself or our (accepted) proposal from last year. Good luck!
