Not much gamedev related work happened in June as I spent the first week of the month on vacations (first time in 3 years!) and the last one attending the Mozilla work week in Canada.
Super secret game Caveman Grru was finished, but it’s still unknown if I’ll be able to close the deal.
Whistler work week blog post and fixes to the Gamedev Canvas Content Kit. I want to work on the second part of the workshop materials about Phaser and the following Content Kit.
Whistler, obviously – Mozilla work week in Canada. It was a crazy week full of meetings with awesome people, I could meet all the employees in one place for the first time. I didn’t even have the time to check my emails regularly, not to mention actually working on something. It was like a huge meetup place where you could finally catch up with all the people you wanted, learn what they are working on, how to get involved. I met and talk with the Tech Evangelism, Games, VR and MDN teams – it was extremely intense time and I enjoyed every little bit of it.
I’ve finally brought into life the DeviceLab.pl website with the intent of sharing all my devices with local devs, but working from home forced me to keep it locked for some time. If I find a good coworking space, then I’ll gladly move, offer my small collection, start acquiring new devices and promoting the Lab itself.
Plans for the next month
Main focus will be put on sending tons of emails asking for prizes, contacting judges and acquiring sponsors for the js13kGames competition.
